Our Camp

Camp Sierra is nestled in the pines and surrounded by a recreational wonderland – it’s a wonderful place to get away from it all. Camp Sierra offers year round enjoyment on 50 acres of the beautiful Sierra National Forest at an elevation of 4,800 feet. Sparkling streams, green meadows, lush forests and rugged hillsides make Camp Sierra an ideal mountain retreat during any time of the year.

There are many opportunities to play in and around camp, including our natural, stream-fed swimming pool, volleyball and horseshoe courts, kids’ playground, and short walking trails to “Slippery Slides” and the “Pot Holes,” which are favorite places to swim and play. Easy access to Big Creek provides endless opportunities for anglers of all levels.

Upon arrival at Camp Sierra you will note that the camp is tucked within the Camp Sierra Community which includes 71 privately owned cabins located on the edges of the camp.  You may meet some of the cabin owners when you are out enjoying places such as our stream-fed swimming pool or the Pot Holes.

In addition to the many options for recreation, Camp Sierra offers indoor meeting facilities, outdoor locations for gatherings and a variety of lodging options and group packages.  Open during the summer is a camp store where soda, snacks, toiletries, games, toys, décor items, and souvenir clothing may be purchased – along with the camp favorite – ice cream.

The camp is minutes away from many recreational opportunities including Shaver Lake, Huntington Lake, Dinkey Creek, China Peak Ski Resort and hundreds of miles of hiking trails and trout streams.  If your group enjoys boating Camp Sierra also has plenty of space to park your boats.
